Saturday, April 19, 2008- The Downtown Clean-up was a success! Many thanks to the volunteers who helped Also, we appreciate the generosity of Pocono Bagels Two, Dunkin Donuts of East Stroudsburg, Weis Market in the K-Mart Plaza and Shop rite of Stroudsburg. A special thanks to Mr. Jim Andrews of East Stroudsburg hardware for hosting the clean-up.
Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Books, Brushes & Bloom was an overwhelming success. The day was enjoyed by all. The ECA thanks all the visitors and vendors for their participation.

Monday, May 19, 2008- Be a community volunteer and "Make A Difference." Assist the volunteers from the Shade Tree Commission with the planting of the flowers on Crystal Street. Please meet at the Gallery @ Liztech, 95 Crystal St., East Stroudsburg @ 4:30 p.m.

2008 – Starting Wednesday, May 21st and held every Wednesday come to the Dansbury Farmers' Market conveniently located behind the Dansbury Depot
Restaurant. Quality produce, great prices, free parking in the municipal lot and best of all- fresh produce grown by your neighbors.
July 4, 2008 – The American Freedom Festival, a free community event featuring great food, fabulous entertainment
and fun attracted 15,000 visitors this year! The festival concluded with a spectacular fireworks display which was sponsored by Pocono Medical Center.

October 11, 2008 – What would the Fall
be without scarecrows? Join
the talented artisans from the Gallery @ Liztech for
the second annual Scarecrow Festival, a fun filled event where you can create a one-of –a-kind
scarecrow. After the Scarecrow Festival, motor over to Stroudsburg for the Autos in Autumn car show. Proceeds from the Scarecrow Festival benefit the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center at Pocono Medical Center.
November 2008 – Once again the
train from Steamtown makes a journey down the mountain
to historic East Stroudsburg. Relive
history and do not forget to bring your cameras!
December 11,
2008 - In tribute and remembrance to the events
of September 11, 2001 on December 11 the community is invited
to gather at the Unity Tree in Miller’s Park to rekindle
the true meaning of the holiday season and, for the children,
welcome that very special couple, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.
