It’s nearly impossible to find a Forth of July Firworks event that isn’t charging for either the show or parking. The American Freedom Festival is the rare exception to the rule, and we invite all our residents and visitors to beautiful East Stroudsburg to celebrate our Nation’s freedoms with an incredible FREE event that truly unites our community and showcases our local talent, businesses and organizations.
The Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA) will present its 10th Annual American Freedom Festival, Independence Day celebration, on Monday, July 4th, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in Dansbury Park, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
Last year’s American Freedom Festival drew a record crowd of over 20,000 attendees. With 2011 marking our tenth anniversary celebration of the festival, the ECA is determined to trump last year’s attendance record and draw a guests of all ages to enjoy the American Freedom Festival’s expansive family-friendly offerings. This day-long festival in beautiful Dansbury Park (with its swimming pools, playing courts, skateboarding park and levee loop trail all available for use), will feature live music by top Pocono Mountains performing artsts, a dynamic culinary midway and hospitality pavilion, an artisan and merchant bazaar, “Liberty Fun Fair” amusement park with carnival rides, “boardwalk-style” games, prize drawings, clowns, magicians, face painters, exhibits, demonstrations, and the “American Freedom Fireworks Spectacular”. Making a substantial investment into our fireworks display, the American Freedom Fireworks will offer a major area attraction and explosive end to a great event!
The Pocono Family YMCA will host the American Freedom Festical 5K Run at Dansbury Park. The race will begin at 9am with registration begining at 7:30am. Pre-registrations are being accepted at the YMCA. The first 100 registrants will receive a t-shirt. The event is open to all ages with various age divisions. Awards will be given for the top male and female winners.
